A climber fell at Wintour's Leap near Chepstow on 9 August 2026. The Severn Area Rescue Association and Gloucestershire Fire and Rescue Service coordinated a multi-agency rescue, initially planning a rope rescue but switching to a boat extraction due to tidal conditions. The casualty was evacuated by lifeboat and transferred to an ambulance at Beachley.

A walker with a leg injury was rescued from a remote area near Grwyne Fawr Reservoir in the Black Mountains after an Apple SOS distress signal alerted emergency services. These included a search for a high-risk missing person near Mouswald who was located safe, a paraglider crash on Criffel where the casualty was uninjured, and a search for missing walkers near Wanlockhead who were safely extracted with helicopter and ground team support.

The team was called to assist North Wales Police in searching for a missing walker in the hills above Glyn Ceiriog on the evening of 4th August. Before the team deployed, the walker made contact with family and was located safe and well, and the callout was stood down.

Kinder Mountain Rescue Team responded to four separate incidents on 4 August within three hours across their operational area. The incidents involved a child with leg and facial injuries on the edge path north of Sandy Heys, a female with a knee injury near Alderley Edge, a male with a head injury near White Nancy, and a male with an ankle injury near Kinder Low. All casualties were treated and either walked off or were stretchered to safety, with support from Cheshire Search and Rescue and Buxton Mountain Rescue Team.

A high-risk missing male was reported lost and cold near Down Tor on Dartmoor. The team deployed five search parties from Norsworthy Bridge and located him unharmed on the Deancombe track within three hours, returning him safely to the rendezvous point.

A male fellrunner attempting the Joss Naylor route in reverse was reported overdue with tracker contact lost. A team member with a drone attended Kirkstone Pass and located the runner on the skyline; he was uninjured but had become slightly off-route during darkness. The runner returned home without requiring evacuation.

A walker slipped from rocks at Blackstone Edge on the Pennine Way and sustained a painful ankle injury. Combined teams from Oldham Mountain Rescue and Calder Valley Search and Rescue carried the casualty by stretcher approximately one kilometre to a waiting Land Rover and transferred them to ambulance care.
