A man died after slipping and falling a considerable distance down Moss Force waterfall near Newlands Hause in the Lake District. Emergency services and off-duty medical professionals attended, but the man was pronounced dead at the scene. The incident involved a multi-agency response including mountain rescue teams, air ambulance, ambulance service, police, and fire service.

A man suffered a medical episode while walking the Cumbria Way on Torver Low Common and fell, becoming unable to continue. A male casualty with a knee injury was unable to walk on the summit of Scafell Pike. MRT members were airlifted closer to the summit by Coastguard Rescue 336, assessed and packaged the casualty, and began stretcher evacuation. Once below cloud base, the helicopter successfully landed and lifted the casualty to the car park, where he was collected by family.
