Newhey Quarry
A young woman suffering a medical condition was rescued from Newhey Quarry by Oldham Mountain Rescue Team on Sunday evening. Paramedics were already present, but the terrain required assistance from the rescue team's 4x4 vehicle to evacuate the casualty safely. The evacuation involved 15 volunteers and took approximately one hour and 30 minutes.
