Gowbarrow fell (primary incident); Boredale Hause (secondary incident)
Two walkers were seriously injured after falls on fells in the Lake District within two days. On 19 June, a walker fell 12 metres on Gowbarrow fell and was airlifted to a major trauma unit by Coastguard helicopter and air ambulance. On 17 June, another walker fell 10–20 metres on Boredale Hause and was flown to Carlisle for treatment.
Outcome: airlifted to major trauma unit (primary); flown to Carlisle for treatment (secondary)
