Sale Fell
A mountain biker fell on Sale Fell and sustained a significant hip injury. Cockermouth Mountain Rescue Team located the casualty approximately 150 metres up the fell, immobilised them, and carried them to an ambulance for transport to Cumberland Infirmary.
Outcome: casualty immobilised and evacuated by stretcher to Cumberland Infirmary
