A camper became cold and wet during a descent from Helvellyn after an overnight camp and was unable to continue. Patterdale Mountain Rescue Team located him on the mountainside with assistance from passers-by and conveyed him to base, where he was given warm drinks and food before returning home with friends.

Outcome: casualty given warm drinks and food at base, returned home with friends
