Ullswater

Patterdale Mountain Rescue Team responded to a callout on Ullswater after a sailor struck a rock approximately 40 metres from the shore. Using their rescue rib 'Patrick Pete', the team located the immobilised boat, assessed it for damage, and safely towed it back to the sailor's mooring near Pooley Bridge.

Outcome: boat towed to mooring, sailor escorted to safety

Support the team who responded. They turn out unpaid, in all weather — every team is a volunteer-run charity.
