A man fell down a rock face at Stamford Park and sustained serious head injuries and possible spinal damage. Oldham Mountain Rescue Team worked with paramedics in a thunderstorm to stabilise him using a vacuum mattress and stretcher before lowering him to ground level for evacuation to hospital.
Outcome: casualty stabilised, packaged and evacuated by stretcher to hospital
