injured mountain bike rider and fall casualty Southern Uplands

Glentress and Arthur's Seat

Tweed Valley Mountain Rescue Team responded to two separate incidents within a week: an injured mountain bike rider at Glentress on 2 July requiring evacuation by ambulance, and a casualty who had fallen on rocky ground at Arthur's Seat on 6 July. Both casualties received treatment and support from the team.

Outcome: first casualty evacuated by Scottish Ambulance Service; second casualty walked to team vehicle with support

Support the team who responded. They turn out unpaid, in all weather — every team is a volunteer-run charity.
