Blackstone Edge, Pennine Way
A walker slipped from rocks at Blackstone Edge on the Pennine Way and sustained a painful ankle injury. Combined teams from Oldham Mountain Rescue and Calder Valley Search and Rescue carried the casualty by stretcher approximately one kilometre to a waiting Land Rover and transferred them to ambulance care.
Outcome: casualty evacuated by stretcher and transferred to ambulance care
