Low Fell

A walker suffered a fractured and dislocated ankle while traversing the Low Fell tops in Cumbria. The Great North Air Ambulance Service landed and treated the casualty, who was then packaged by Cockermouth Mountain Rescue Team and airlifted to Cumberland Infirmary Carlisle.

Outcome: casualty airlifted to hospital by helicopter
