Borrowdale

A 54-year-old female runner became unwell and dizzy during the Borrowdale fell race on 1st August whilst Bowland Pennine Mountain Rescue Team were supporting the event. Team members assessed her condition, provided rest and reassurance, then escorted her back down to the race field where she was advised to seek further medical advice.

Outcome: casualty advised to seek further medical advice with GP or local hospital walk-in centre

Support the team who responded. They turn out unpaid, in all weather — every team is a volunteer-run charity.
