lost teenagers Lake District

Hart Crag, Link Cove, Dove Crag

Saturday, 8 February 2025

Four 19-year-old men became lost in darkness near Hart Crag whilst attempting to locate Priest's Hole on Dove Crag. Patterdale Mountain Rescue Team used phone location technology to find them in Link Cove and advised them to abandon their original plan due to cliff hazard. The group safely joined other campers in Houndshope Cove and were expected to descend to Patterdale the following morning.

Outcome: located by phone finder app, joined campers, safe to descend next day
