Cockermouth Mountain Rescue Team responded to reports of a Herdwick sheep stranded on a rocky ledge above Honister Slate Mine in Cumbria. Rescuers used rock climbing techniques to access and secure the animal, then rappelled it safely to the ground. The sheep was given a health check and released unharmed.
