Dinorwig slate quarries, Sinc Galed, Llanberis
Three people exploring the Dinorwig slate quarries near Llanberis became stuck on an unstable ledge approximately 35 metres up the Eastern wall of a quarry hole known as Sinc Galed. Llanberis Mountain Rescue Team deployed members who secured the casualties and hauled all three to safety using a rope and pulley system. The rescue prompted warnings from the team about the dangers of visiting quarries for social media content.
