Moses Trod below Brandreth, between Ennerdale and Honister Pass
A walker attempting the Coast to Coast route died during an attempted crossing in severe weather conditions. Cockermouth Mountain Rescue Team was called out on the evening of 9 June and located the casualty deceased on Moses Trod below Brandreth at around 2.30am. The casualty was evacuated by stretcher to Honister Slate Mine as daylight broke.
