Beinn Eighe and Maol Chean-dearg, Torridon, Wester Ross, Northwest Highlands

Two separate incidents occurred on Beinn Eighe and Maol Chean-dearg in the Torridon area on Saturday 23 August 2025. A walker became stuck in technical terrain on the Black Carls ridge on Beinn Eighe and was extracted by helicopter with team assistance. A runner attempting The Martin Moran Round fell on the descent from Maol Chean-dearg, breaking two bones in their hand, and walked themselves out before being collected by the team.

Outcome: walker extracted by helicopter and returned to base; runner walked out and received pain relief and immobilisation at base, confirmed hand fracture by x-ray
