Great Dodd Fell
Patterdale Mountain Rescue Team attended to an injured walker on Great Dodd Fell during Storm Amy on 1 October 2025. The walker had twisted his ankle at the summit and was evacuated by stretcher in extreme conditions with winds reaching 80mph; one team member also sustained a leg injury during the five-hour operation.
Outcome: casualty evacuated by stretcher, reunited with friends; one rescuer sustained leg injury
