Patterdale Mountain Rescue Team responded to a sheep trapped on a ledge above old mine workings in the Greenside mine area near Glenridding. Team members used a rope and pulley system to lower a rescuer who encouraged the animal back to safety. The sheep was successfully rescued and reunited with its flock.
