A man and his two dogs became crag-fast on a steep ledge in a quarry near Newhey in Rochdale during darkness. Oldham Mountain Rescue Team deployed 22 members who abseiled down and hauled all three to safety over two hours and fifteen minutes. All were uninjured and returned to their vehicle.
