1 incidentEmergency services attended Bodmin Moor on Saturday morning following reports of an individual who had suffered a serious medical episode. Rescue teams were called to assist with the recovery of the person, who sadly did not survive at the scene. The death was confirmed by police and is not being treated as suspicious.

2 incidentsOutcome: The casualty was airlifted to hospital with a suspected significant ankle break.
The search and rescue team assisted police in searching for a high-risk missing person near Looe on Sunday, December 7th. The search was conducted despite heavy rainfall across the Morval area until the individual was found to have returned home safely.

1 incidentSearch and Rescue teams were contacted by police to assist in locating a young girl reported missing from St Eval. The child was eventually found safe by a member of the public who was assisting with the search efforts.

1 incidentA man reported missing from the Polruan area was located safe following an extensive two-day search involving multiple agencies. The search efforts concluded with confirmation that the individual had been found and was receiving care.

1 incidentThe search and rescue team attended an incident at Bodgara Mill involving a woman who had fallen from her horse. Due to difficult terrain, the injured party was carefully packaged into a specialist stretcher and moved to an awaiting ambulance for transport to Derriford Hospital.

1 incidentSearch and Rescue teams were called out on Bodmin Moor following bad weather conditions. The location of two walkers was confirmed using phone tracking technology, allowing rescuers to safely attend to one individual who was then stretchered from the rocky ground.

2 incidentsTwo individuals were rescued from an abandoned mine in Cornwall after being trapped inside for up to 14 hours. Rescue teams successfully stabilized the people and brought them to the surface before they were transported to hospital for further examination.

A man became trapped approximately 45 feet down a shaft at Phoenix Mine in Minions, Cornwall, after becoming stuck on ropes whilst exploring with a group. Devon Cave Rescue Organisation and East Cornwall Search and Rescue responded, and he was rescued and conveyed to hospital after being suspended in the shaft for several hours and sustaining injuries.
Outcome: casualty rescued by specialist cave rescue team and taken to hospital
July 2023
1 incidentA man was rescued from a 35-foot mineshaft in the Prideaux Wood area near Tywardreath Highway, Par. Emergency services including Devon and Cornwall Police, Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service, South Western Ambulance Service, and East Cornwall Search and Rescue Team coordinated the rescue. The casualty was transported by air ambulance to hospital with injuries initially assessed as serious but later downgraded.

1 incidentA 42-year-old man sustained spinal injuries after jumping into the water-filled quarry at Gold Diggings on Bodmin Moor. Emergency services responded and the casualty was evacuated by stretcher and transferred to Derriford Hospital for treatment.

1 incidentA teenage girl fell from height on Rough Tor during a Duke of Edinburgh Award exercise and sustained a lower leg injury. The Cornwall Air Ambulance and West Cornwall Search and Rescue Team responded; after initial assessment ruled out serious injury, she was evacuated by the team's off-road ambulance to a waiting land ambulance.
