A team was called out by YAS to assist an individual who had fallen while walking on Sharphaw, sustaining a deep cut to the knee. Prompt assessment and care were provided before the casualty was handed over to paramedics for onward transport.

A search operation was conducted over two days at Threshfield Quarry following reports of a missing dog. Despite extensive excavation work in challenging conditions, no confirmed signs of the dog were found, and the operation was concluded due to increasing safety risks.

Mountain rescue teams were called out to assist with a casualty who had fallen near White Wells in Ilkley. Due to the challenging terrain, multiple agencies worked together to carry the patient a short distance across difficult ground to reach an awaiting ambulance.

Animal Rescue (Cave/Rift) Yorkshire Dales
Mountain Rescue teams assisted with a challenging underground dog rescue that took place on the North York Moors. The dog had fallen deep into a narrow rift system, requiring careful technical work in extremely confined conditions to safely retrieve her.
Outcome: Successful rescue of the dog
Injury/Fracture Yorkshire Dales
The team assisted Yorkshire Ambulance with the extraction of a 74-year-old female who had sustained an open ankle fracture after falling in woodland. Following initial treatment at the scene, she was subsequently stretchered to the waiting ambulance.

The team was called out by North Yorkshire Police to search for a high-risk missing person near Starbottom in the Hawkswick area. After initial searches proved unsuccessful, the casualty was eventually located through a systematic search of the fell and subsequently handed over to an ambulance for care.

2 incidents Stretcher Carry/Hypothermia Yorkshire Dales
The team was called out to assist with a stretcher carry from the summit of Ingleborough down to Chapel le Dale due to two walkers experiencing difficulties in atrocious weather. Despite initial requests for air support being unsuccessful due to severe conditions, both casualties were safely evacuated by ground crew and handed over to the ambulance service.
Outcome: Both casualties safely evacuated
Driving assistance/Weather related Yorkshire Dales
The team was called out near Scar House Reservoir following reports of distressed persons struggling with icy and snowy driving conditions. Upon arrival, it was confirmed that the fire service and ambulance crews had already made contact with the individuals and were providing necessary support.
Outcome: No further assistance required

A team was called out to Cow and Calf, Ilkley, following reports of an individual who had fallen and sustained a lower leg injury. Initial assessment found the person also suffering from stage 1 hypothermia, and after medical care arrived, the team assisted with a stretcher carry for safe transfer.
