A walker became disoriented and benighted while completing the Beinn Dearg four Munros circuit in Wester Ross, spending a night out in poor conditions. She raised the alarm early the following morning, triggering a search involving Dundonnell Mountain Rescue Team, SARDA, and a coastguard helicopter; she was located and recovered safely.
Outcome: located by helicopter and driven to Inverness to recover

A walker collapsed and died while in the Mourne Mountains near Windy Gap on Saturday afternoon. The Mourne Mountain Rescue Team attended, and despite the efforts of his walking companion, nearby walkers, and the NI Air Ambulance, the man was pronounced deceased at the scene. The team recovered the deceased and transferred them to undertakers.

Missing Person Search Peak District
The team was called out late last night to assist South Yorkshire Police in searching for a vulnerable missing person in the Goldthorpe area. After conducting searches across several areas over a period of six and a half hours, the individual's whereabouts remain unknown, and police investigations are ongoing.

A lifeboat volunteer and training manager contracted giardiasis, a parasitic infection linked to sewage, after spending two hours in the River Severn during a training exercise in October 2020. He spent over three weeks unwell, including multiple hospital admissions, and investigators determined an 80% probability the infection came from human sewage contamination in the river.

10 incidents emergency access obstruction / person in trouble Highlands
Two ambulances and a mountain rescue team were blocked by illegal parking while responding to incidents near Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park. The first incident involved emergency crews attempting to help someone in trouble on Ben Lomond on Saturday, and the second occurred at Callander Crags on Sunday. Poor parking obstructed emergency access in both cases, with a car owner charged following the second incident.

Mountain Rescue was called out on 18th September to assist with an injured horse rider in woodland at North Anston. The casualty sustained injuries after a fall, presenting with pain in her lower back, hip, and shoulder. She was subsequently immobilized and transported via mountain rescue stretcher to the road head.

Dundonnell Mountain Rescue Team assisted Police Scotland in searching for a missing 22-year-old man in the Dingwall area. The person was located safe and well, and the search was stood down at approximately 10:30 am.

A 12-year-old girl fell from a rope swing in a wooded area of Glodwick, sustaining fractures to both arms and a knee injury. Oldham Mountain Rescue Team assisted with extraction from the steep location using their Alphin stretcher, and the casualty was treated and evacuated successfully.

A walker died after a significant fall on Snowdon's Pyg Track on Wednesday. The coastguard helicopter and Llanberis and Aberglaslyn mountain rescue teams located the body at Pant y Lluwchfa following multiple reports of the incident.

An 80-year-old experienced hiker who became separated from a companion during a hailstorm in the Gunnerside area of North Yorkshire went missing for four days. He survived by sheltering and using emergency rations, sustaining a head injury when he fell crossing a stream. He was found alive by a wildlife photographer near Keld and was reunited with his family after a large search operation involving multiple mountain rescue teams.

A dog fell into a 20-foot-deep pothole on Saddleworth Moor near Dovestone Reservoir and was successfully rescued by Oldham Mountain Rescue Team. The team used the incident to warn walkers about the hazards of exploring such holes without proper experience and equipment.

A group of four walkers required rescue on Cairn Toul after becoming lost and suffering from exposure during a 24-hour walk. Mountain rescue teams located the party in the early hours when they were found to be wet, cold, and one individual was hypothermic.

An experienced hillwalker fell 5–10 metres in the North Gully on Tryfan on Thursday 27 August and was unable to descend due to injury. Ogwen Valley Mountain Rescue lowered him 500 metres down a gully in a stretcher over five belay stations before he was airlifted by Coastguard helicopter to Bangor hospital.

Oldham Mountain Rescue Team was called to assist a family of three after the father fell in moorland near Dovestone in the Saddleworth countryside. All three were safely located and helped down from the steep ground, with the father receiving assistance from team members. The incident lasted approximately two hours and fifteen minutes.

A walker in a group of nine ascending Tryfan suffered a panic attack and extreme exhaustion, becoming unable to descend. The man was airlifted by helicopter to safety after being located on the west face of the mountain. The rescue team noted the group lacked equipment, experience and route knowledge.

Emergency crews responded to reports of an injured climber on Mitre Ridge at Beinn a’ Bhuird. The operation involved multiple teams and culminated in the successful airlift of two climbers to safety.

A walker who had failed to return to base was found deceased in the Achfary area of Sutherland following a search operation. Assynt Mountain Rescue Team, the Stornoway Coastguard helicopter, and local estate workers participated in locating and recovering the body.

A vulnerable missing person was located at Wimberry Rocks near Dovestone Reservoir following a search operation involving police, Oldham Mountain Rescue, and a National Police Air Service helicopter on 10 August 2020. Ogwen Valley Mountain Rescue Organisation attended two separate incidents in Snowdonia on Saturday 8 August. A man was airlifted from Glyder Fawr after dislocating and possibly fracturing his ankle on Seniors Ridge, and was flown to hospital in Bangor. Later the same day, a man and his dog were safely escorted down from Tryfan after the dog became unable to continue on the North Ridge.
