A 46-year-old man from Yorkshire has been missing in Wester Ross since 1 May 2019. Dundonnell Mountain Rescue Team conducted further searches in Fisherfield Forest on 26 July with a search dog, but no new evidence was found.

8 incidents camper with broken tent pole Snowdonia Serious incident
A wild camper on Glyder Fach contacted mountain rescue after breaking his tent pole during the night. The rescue team advised him to remain in his tent until daylight and checked on his welfare at dawn, confirming no rescue action was required.
Outcome: camper advised to shelter in place; welfare check at dawn; no rescue required
stuck walkers Snowdonia
Two women in their 20s became stuck on a 200-foot scree slope near Penmaenmawr while searching for Easter eggs and had to contact emergency services. Ogwen Valley Mountain Rescue attended and used harnesses and rope to lower both women safely to the ground.
Outcome: both women lowered to safety by mountain rescue using harnesses and rope

Ogwen Valley Mountain Rescue responded to four separate incidents over the Easter period. These included two women who became cragfast on a coastal scramble near Dwgyfylchi and were safely descended by team members, a man who fell approximately 30 metres on Gribin Ridge and was evacuated by helicopter with minor injuries, a woman who suffered a fractured ankle near Llyn Geirionydd and was transported to hospital by the team, and a 71-year-old man who fell on the North Ridge of Tryfan and was evacuated by helicopter with head and back injuries.
Outcome: two women descended safely with team assistance; first male casualty evacuated by helicopter with minor injuries; female casualty transported to hospital by team with ankle fracture; second male casualty evacuated by helicopter with head and back injuries

A 56-year-old man fell approximately 100 feet on Gribin Ridge in Snowdonia and was rescued by Ogwen Valley mountain rescue team. A doctor who was walking nearby provided initial assessment of his injuries. The casualty was airlifted to hospital with cuts and other injuries.
Outcome: airlifted to hospital by rescue helicopter
crag-fast abseiler Highlands
Ochils Mountain Rescue Team assisted partner agencies in rescuing a crag-fast abseiler stranded on a rock face at Tillicoultry Quarry. Fire brigade rope rescue teams lowered the casualty to the ground with safety cover provided by the local team. The person was lowered safely and did not require medical assistance.
Outcome: casualty safely lowered to ground, no medical assistance required
off-road biker fall Brecon Beacons Serious incident
A 25-year-old off-road motorcyclist sustained significant injuries after accidentally riding off a quarry edge near Merthyr, falling 30–40 feet. He was treated by multiple emergency services and air ambulance personnel before being stretchered out and transferred to hospital by ambulance.
Outcome: casualty evacuated by air ambulance and stretcher to hospital

The team responded to a casualty with a traumatic injury on Ben Vrackie yesterday afternoon. The post wishes the individual a speedy recovery and acknowledges assistance from R951.

A 17-year-old male was reported missing on Arran and was found dead near Glenashdale Falls approximately two days later. The incident prompted widespread tributes to the deceased.

Mourne Mountain Rescue Team responded to an incident on Slieve Donard involving two injured hillwalkers. The team successfully rescued both casualties from the mountain.

avalanche Highlands Serious incident
Three climbers died in an avalanche on Ben Nevis's Number Five Gully on the North Face on 11 March 2019. The casualties were two French nationals aged 32 and 41, and a Swiss national aged 43. A fourth climber, a 30-year-old Swiss national, survived and was receiving treatment in hospital; 29 volunteer mountain rescuers from Lochaber and Glencoe teams attended the incident in extremely challenging conditions.

Four climbers died in an avalanche in Number 5 Gully on Ben Nevis on Tuesday of the previous week. Two French climbers aged 41 and 32, and a 43-year-old Swiss climber were killed; a 30-year-old Swiss climber survived. Family members were subsequently taken by Lochaber Mountain Rescue Team to view the accident site.

A woman with a suspected broken leg was rescued from the PYG track on Snowdon during severe weather with winds gusting over 100mph. Mountain rescue teams from multiple organisations worked together to locate the casualty near Bwlch Glas and evacuate her, with team members being thrown several metres by the wind during the operation. The rescue was completed by around 10pm.
Outcome: casualty evacuated with pain relief and kept warm until transport

Two climbers were found with hypothermia after being reported overdue from a climb. Following an extensive search involving multiple agencies, one of the individuals sadly passed away; the other remains in stable condition.

Mountain Rescue Service (SSSART) were called to assist another local team regarding a female with a broken ankle near Llyn Llagi. The casualty was assisted by multiple teams and subsequently carried to the Coastguard helicopter for evacuation.

Missing Person Search Snowdonia
The team responded to assist North Wales Police in searching for a vulnerable missing person near Arenig Fawr bothie. After initial searches at the first location, a second party searched another bothie in the Dolgellau area before the operation was stood down. The individual was later found safe and well.

Two hillwalkers died after falling on Ben Hope in Sutherland. Their bodies were discovered by a Coastguard helicopter crew on the north-west side of the mountain after concerns were raised on Tuesday afternoon. Multiple mountain rescue teams, police, and emergency services were involved in the search and recovery operation.

Medical emergency - head injury Highlands Serious incident
A man in his 70s living off-grid in a remote Highlands cabin activated his personal locator beacon after suffering a potentially life-threatening head injury. A Coastguard helicopter and Lochaber Mountain Rescue Team located and evacuated him, with the rescue coordinated via a satellite signal processed through a response centre in Houston, Texas.
Outcome: Casualty winched to helicopter and flown to Belford Hospital, Fort William; reported to be doing well

A 42-year-old walker slipped and broke his leg near the top of Arthur's Seat in Edinburgh on snowy conditions. Tweed Valley Mountain Rescue Team, along with police, ambulance, fire and rescue services, and a Coastguard helicopter, worked together to lower the casualty down the steepest section using rope rescue techniques before carrying him to an ambulance at Dunsapie Loch.

A climber fell approximately 30 metres down Trinity gullies on Snowdon during an avalanche, sustaining a lower leg injury. A seven-hour rescue operation involving mountain rescue volunteers, search dogs, and a coastguard helicopter was launched in hazardous snow conditions, with the casualty ultimately winched to safety by helicopter. A second incident saw a couple rescued from the Llanberis path after becoming stranded in snow and cold.

Tweed Valley Mountain Rescue attended a mountain bike incident on a steep hillside near Innerleithen on Sunday afternoon. The rider sustained a leg injury in a fall and was evacuated by stretcher to the roadside before being transported to hospital.

A 52-year-old man fell from cliffs near Wintour's Leap Rock in the Lower Wye Valley on 25 January 2019. Multi-agency rescue teams located him and he was evacuated by coastguard helicopter to Southmead Hospital in Bristol.
