Ogwen Valley mountain rescue team attended an incident on 12 July involving a party of four walkers who became stuck in the waterfall gully area on the north ridge of Tryfan after one member experienced a panic attack. The team located the group approximately 600 feet from the summit and assisted them back to the main path and down to the road. The team has noted an increase in similar panic attack incidents on Tryfan and has issued guidance to visitors about the mountain's navigation difficulties and exposure.
