Three climbers were on the Gashed Crag route at Tryfan when the lead climber fell past the belay point. The belayer managed to halt the fall but sustained severe rope burns, leading to an emergency call for assistance. Rescue personnel eventually reached the group and used a technical rope system to safely bring all three individuals up to the ridge.
Outcome: All climbers were safely rescued.
A climber sustained serious injury after falling approximately 10 metres while ascending the Gashed Crag route on Tryfan mountain in North Wales.
