Climbing fall/Rescue Snowdonia

Gashed Crag on Tryfan, Gwynedd

Three climbers were on the Gashed Crag route at Tryfan when the lead climber fell past the belay point. The belayer managed to halt the fall but sustained severe rope burns, leading to an emergency call for assistance. Rescue personnel eventually reached the group and used a technical rope system to safely bring all three individuals up to the ridge.

Outcome: All climbers were safely rescued.
