A paraglider experienced a significant problem with their wing and made a hard landing near Moel Wnion in Snowdonia on 21 July 2025, sustaining serious injuries. The casualty managed to call for assistance and was treated by Ogwen Valley Mountain Rescue Organisation team members before being airlifted by Coastguard rescue helicopter to Ysbyty Gwynedd hospital.
