A walker in his late 30s from Greater Manchester slipped on wet rocks on Tryfan's South Gully and sustained serious injuries including possible broken ribs and femurs. Ogwen Valley Mountain Rescue, assisted by RAF Mountain Rescue and a Coastguard helicopter crew, conducted an eight-hour operation to locate and evacuate him by stretcher to an awaiting road ambulance.
