Glyder Fach and Tryfan, Eryri
Two women died in separate falls in Eryri within a week. The first occurred on Glyder Fach on 16 February when a walker slipped on grass and fell approximately 10 metres; her companion fell whilst attempting to help and sustained injuries but survived. The second occurred on Tryfan's north face on 22 February when a climber fell 20 metres into steep terrain; passers-by and mountain rescue personnel attempted resuscitation but the casualty could not be saved.
Outcome: both casualties died; first casualty's companion sustained fractured wrist and head injuries and was evacuated
