Tryfan (Gashed Crag)

Three climbers were on the 'Gashed Crag' route at Tryfan when the lead climber fell approximately 10 metres past the belay. The belayer managed to arrest the fall but sustained severe rope burns, requiring assistance from mountain rescue services.

Outcome: The lead climber was uninjured aside from her hands, and the injured belayer required assistance to continue.
