Tryfan, Eryri (Snowdonia)
Two walkers became lost and stuck in darkness above steep ground on Tryfan in Eryri on 23 December. Ogwen Valley Mountain Rescue Organisation deployed five team members who lowered them to safe ground and walked them down to the roadside. The rescue team subsequently addressed public commentary calling for rescued people to be charged, emphasising that assistance is sometimes needed regardless of experience level.
Outcome: both walkers lowered to safe ground and walked down to roadside
