Snowdonia (Gwydyr Forest, Tal Y Fan, Tryfan)

Ogwen Valley Mountain Rescue responded to three separate incidents in Snowdoria over one weekend. A mountain biker was found and stretchered after suffering a severe knee injury near Swallow Falls; a man was stretchered after slipping and injuring his knee while descending Tal Y Fan; and a man and his 11-year-old daughter were winched to safety by Coastguard helicopter after becoming stuck on the North Ridge of Tryfan in poor conditions.

Outcome: biker stretchered to ambulance, walker stretchered to safety, father and daughter winched to safety by helicopter

Support the team who responded. They turn out unpaid, in all weather — every team is a volunteer-run charity.
