North west Wales (Rhaeadr Fawr/Aber Falls, Penmachno, Cwm Idwal, Glyder Fach, Tryfan, Y Garn)
Ogwen Valley Mountain Rescue Organisation responded to nine incidents across north west Wales between 10 and 15 August 2025. These included a walker with suspected pelvic injuries at Rhaeadr Fawr, a man stuck on a cliff near Penmachno, two lost climbers on Idwal Slabs, scramblers stranded on Bristly Ridge, and casualties with ankle and chin/wrist injuries on Tryfan and Y Garn respectively.
Outcome: walker with pelvic injuries stretcher-evacuated to hospital; man on cliff assisted down; climbers guided down; scramblers self-extricated; ankle injury casualty airlifted by rescue helicopter to hospital; chin/wrist injury casualty airlifted by rescue helicopter to hospital
