stranded walkers on steep ground Snowdonia
Tryfan, West Face, Wrinkle Slab area
Two walkers became stranded on the steep west face of Tryfan after losing the main path during a descent of the North Ridge. Ten members of Ogwen Valley Mountain Rescue Team conducted a six-hour operation, using rope rescue equipment to raise the walkers to safer ground and extract them safely.
Outcome: walkers raised to safer ground and extracted on fixed lines, walked out uninjured
