Dovestones, Chew Reservoir Saddleworth
A male with a knee injury was rescued from the snow-covered track near Chew Reservoir in the Dovestones area on 12 January. Thirteen Oldham Mountain Rescue Team members located the casualty and, taking advantage of snowy conditions, sledged the stretcher down to their vehicles before handing the patient over to ambulance services.
Outcome: casualty evacuated by stretcher and handed to ambulance services for hospital transfer
