A mountain biker suffered a suspected broken leg on the mountainside above Pontsticill in the Brecon Beacons and was rescued by the Central Beacons Mountain Rescue Team with assistance from local residents. The casualty was treated for pain relief and splint immobilisation before being carried off the mountain to an awaiting ambulance and taken to hospital.
Outcome: casualty evacuated by stretcher to hospital
