Multiple casualties with serious fractures and dislocated knee Snowdonia Serious incident

Carneddau (Chwaral Penmaenbach Quarries, Maen Esgob) and Tryfan (Bristly Ridge)

Ogwen Valley Mountain Rescue Organisation responded to three separate callouts across the Carneddau and Tryfan. A climber suffered a severe ankle fracture at Chwaral Penmaenbach Quarries and was airlifted to hospital; a fell runner sustained a wrist fracture on the coastal path at Maen Esgob and was driven to hospital; and a scrambler on Bristly Ridge, Tryfan, dislocated their knee and was airlifted to hospital.

Outcome: Two casualties airlifted to hospital by Maritime and Coastguard Agency helicopter; one casualty driven to hospital by friends
