A walker in his late 50s fell approximately 5 metres on the east ridge of Y Garn in Snowdonia, sustaining a serious ankle and foot injury. An eight-hour rescue operation by Ogwen Valley Mountain Rescue Organisation and Llanberis MRT involved rope work and stretcher evacuation, with helicopter assistance prevented by weather conditions. The casualty was conveyed to hospital for treatment.
