Snowdon

An experienced climber fell approximately 700 feet on Snowdon whilst descending the Pyg track with his mountaineering club on a St Patrick's weekend trip. His body was found on Friday morning and recovered the following day by Llanberis Mountain Rescue due to hazardous conditions. The incident coincided with a busy weekend for the rescue team as spring-like weather in the valley contrasted with severe winter conditions at altitude.

Outcome: fatality
