A female walker slipped and sustained a suspected broken ankle at the summit of Pen-y-Fan on 2 January 2025. Central Beacons Mountain Rescue Team, Brecon Mountain Rescue Team, and the Maritime and Coastguard Agency helicopter responded, airlifting the casualty from the summit to the car park for transfer to hospital.

Outcome: casualty airlifted by helicopter to car park and transferred to hospital by ambulance
