unexploded ordnance evacuation Dartmoor

Falmouth

The team assisted in the evacuation of part of Falmouth on 23 September after a Second World War bomb was discovered near the dock area. A 755-metre cordon was established affecting approximately 300 properties, and the team deployed at 10:00 to help evacuate residents. The bomb was safely moved out to sea and all personnel stood down by 13:00.

Outcome: evacuation completed successfully, ordnance removed to sea
