A walker fell 20ft from a waterfall near Sgwd Gwladus in the Brecon Beacons, sustaining a serious leg injury. Members of the public used mobile phone camera flashes to guide a Coastguard helicopter to the scene in the heavily wooded ravine. A 56-year-old walker died following a fall on Tryfan mountain in Snowdonia on 27 May 2019. Two women in their 20s became stuck on a 200-foot scree slope near Penmaenmawr while searching for Easter eggs and had to contact emergency services. Ogwen Valley Mountain Rescue attended and used harnesses and rope to lower both women safely to the ground.
