A runner died while attempting the Bob Graham Round in the Lake District on 6 August 2024. Cockermouth Mountain Rescue Team was called after friends raised the alarm, and the body was located at Great Doup on Pillar after a search in difficult conditions. The casualty was evacuated with support from Wasdale Mountain Rescue Team and the Coastguard.
