A walker fell on the shores of Buttermere and sustained a head injury with dizziness and a suspected dislocated finger. Cockermouth Mountain Rescue Team responded with 19 volunteers, assessed the casualty, provided pain relief, and carried them by stretcher to Gatesgarth where they were handed to North West Ambulance Service.
Outcome: casualty evacuated by stretcher to ambulance service
