A walker became lost after straying from the main path in the Saddleworth area late on Tuesday afternoon. Oldham Mountain Rescue Team and Greater Manchester Police located the individual using phone signals and local knowledge, and after a brief medical assessment, the walker was safely escorted back down the trail in good condition.

A walker in the Cheviots suffered a lower leg injury after turning his ankle and hearing a snap while on a hill walk north of Windy Gyle. The Border Search and Rescue Unit located him using GPS and vehicle access, treated him on scene, and transported him to hospital.

A black cocker spaniel fell from a cliff in Roslin Glen, Penicuik on 30 October 2024. A large search and rescue operation involving Tweed Valley Mountain Rescue, fire services, and water rescue teams was launched but suspended overnight due to darkness and poor visibility. The dog was found deceased by its owner the following morning.

A hillwalker was knocked off balance by a strong gust of wind on Cul Mor in Sutherland and fell down steep, loose ground near the summit. Due to potentially serious injuries, Assynt Mountain Rescue Team requested air support and the casualty was airlifted by Coastguard Rescue helicopter to hospital. The casualty's group was safely escorted back to their vehicles by rescue volunteers.

An 80-year-old man sustained facial, shoulder, rib and head injuries after falling whilst descending Pen y Fan in the Brecon Beacons on Sunday afternoon. Patterdale Mountain Rescue Team responded to a callout on Ullswater after a sailor struck a rock approximately 40 metres from the shore. Using their rescue rib 'Patrick Pete', the team located the immobilised boat, assessed it for damage, and safely towed it back to the sailor's mooring near Pooley Bridge.

Multiple rescue operations occurred across the Scottish Borders and Northumberland region over the weekend. A mountain biker was injured at Glentress and hospitalised; a walker suffered a suspected broken ankle on the coastal path near Coldingham Bay and was evacuated by ambulance; and seven people were rescued from chest-deep water on the Pilgrims Way to Holy Island, though they were assisted by Holy Island Coastguard and removed the water safely before Berwick team arrived.

Oldham Mountain Rescue team assisted North West Ambulance Service in extricating a patient from a field near Middleton on Thursday afternoon. The patient was loaded onto a stretcher and carried to an ambulance with support from paramedics and the North West Air Ambulance. Ten team members were involved for three hours.

A man suffered a suspected stroke whilst hillwalking on Goatfell on the Isle of Arran and was airlifted to hospital by HM Coastguard search and rescue helicopter. Arran Mountain Rescue Team was called out at approximately 2pm, and the casualty was transferred to the care of the Scottish Ambulance Service.

A 65-year-old hill-walker from Dingwall has been missing since 8 September 2024. His car was found at a car park near Beinn Alligin on 18 September, prompting a search by mountain rescue teams, RAF, police, and search dogs in the Torridon hills and nearby areas.
A hiker fell on the Witches Step ridge on the Isle of Arran and sustained a head injury on 7 September 2024. The casualty was treated by mountain rescue and airlifted by helicopter to North Glen Sannox, where they were transferred to an ambulance.
